Scribble Dublin Diary
April 3rd, 2012

Everyone needs a bit of daily inspiration and what better place to get it from then Dublin’s top design talent. Our Scribble Dublin event hosted by Designist saw over 20 designers, artists, illustrators and makers put their creative hands to our Scribble Frames. The decorated frames have all found new homes but the pictures remain and we think they are too good not to share. So for those of you that missed the event you are in luck, everyday we will post a picture of an original piece of Scribble Frame artwork along with information about artist. Day one starts tomorrow . . . . .

We invite you to join us in the shop on the 16th of March from 6-8pm. Mark Flood will be illustrating frames live in store for you to take away.  You can have your photo taken in the giant Scribble Frame in the window and marvel at the shining examples of how it can be done.

The ReMake Eco-Table Exhibition
November 18th, 2011

The Remake Design Network have organised a little impromptu event for this Saturday 19th November. Shabra Recycling Centre donated 8 oil barrel lids to ReMake so Nick Barker of ReMake (resident crazy genius) decided to set 8 designers the challenge of creating a table using these lids. See poster attached for a preview of one of the tables by Mint Design.

The fruits of their labour will be on display in the Eco-Table Exhibition in The Malthouse Design Centre, 537 North Circular Road, Dublin 1 this Saturday from 12.30 to 3pm.

Dermot McNally of Rossmore Furniture will be giving a short talk at 1pm sharp and ReMake will give a short presentation about its brief history to date. Get there for 12.30 if you can.

So come along to see the exhibition, meet the designers, have a chat and make suggestions about what you would like the next event to be. We are working on developing the next workshop to be a big event that you’ll all be invited to take part in so it would be great just to meet up in the mean time to share ideas and spread the word about ReMake, so bring a friend and forward this on to whoever you like.

There will be mulled wine and cookies for those of you who make the effort to come down on a Saturday!

See you on Saturday!
