This fabulous table lamp by Nervous System was the first thing that caught my eye in Room 68. The Hyphae Lamp is based on how veins form in leaves. Each lamp is a completely one-of-a-kind design 3D-printed in nylon plastic. They also make some amazing jewellery available in store- I want it all!

Look how slick this stool is!! It would appear I’m obsessed with this white nylon material but it’s more the smooth functioning of this product that grabbed my attention. The only thing is that it’s around the $2,000 mark!

These beautiful acrylic structures combined with rubber cord create floating containers of space. Strung is designed by Debra Folz.

I wanted to take photos of pretty much everything in the shop so here’s a group shot of some of the other products!

Not so much a Scribble Frame as a scribble smellifier, this unique frame wafts scents of coffee or herbs around the room. Designgoat’s goal is to create. They work on simple, functional items that are complex in their nature and simple in their form. Inspired by many designers and disciplines they aim to create and realize their ideas themselves. Seeing concepts through from sketches to fully built finished products, controlling every detail along the way. Their aim is to work in Dublin and to become a part of the growing creative side of the city while appealing to an international market.

In celebration of the sun shining today we bring you a glitzy Scribble Frame by Steph Sheahan of Punctuate. Based in Cork, Punctuate is a multi-disciplinary design consultancy. Dublin’s design talent showcase starts with Shane Murphy. Shane is an illustrator and designer living and freelancing in Dublin. He mostly works in web design and is currently undertaking a Masters in Computer Science at UCD. He studied Design in NCAD for his undergrad and is very passionate about Illustration and design. Everyone needs a bit of daily inspiration and what better place to get it from then Dublin’s top design talent. Our Scribble Dublin event hosted by Designist saw over 20 designers, artists, illustrators and makers put their creative hands to our Scribble Frames. The decorated frames have all found new homes but the pictures remain and we think they are too good not to share. So for those of you that missed the event you are in luck, everyday we will post a picture of an original piece of Scribble Frame artwork along with information about artist. Day one starts tomorrow . . . . .

Kate is getting ready for Scribble Dublin this Friday 16th March in Designist. The giant Scribble Frame will be on display in the window along with 20 Scribble Frames decorated by some of Dublin’s top design talent! Come on down from 6-8 to check it out.

In this age of fast technology, clever marketing strategies and unintelligible privacy policies we all crave the personal touch. Products we can love and cherish and use as a cocoon against the harsh confusing world out there. Products that our really ours.

With this in mind Klickity have developed the scribble frame, which allows you to customise your picture frame and make it something genuinely unique to you.

Being creative can be hard though. We need inspiration. Designist and Klickity have decided to provide you with some by showcasing some of the best Irish design talent for St. Patricks day.

We invite you to join us in the shop on the 16th of March from 6-8pm. Mark Flood will be illustrating frames live in store for you to take away.  You can have your photo taken in the giant Scribble Frame in the window and marvel at the shining examples of how it can be done.

With work from the likes of Chris Judge, Perch design, Donal Thornton & Curve Creative, illustrated frames will be auctioned to the highest bidder.
